Senior Security Analyst

As a Senior Security Analyst at The Instillery, you’ll play a crucial role in maintaining optimal security posture for our clients’ infrastructure and networks. Working within the Security Intelligence unit of our Managed Security Services Provider offering, you’ll be responsible for detecting, coordinating, and reporting on cyber security incidents impacting our customers. This role involves triaging, processing, investigating, analysing, reporting and responding to alerts and incidents, and devising effective remediation and response plans to mitigate security events.

- Full time and permanent role, minimum of 40 hours per week with hybrid work arrangements (in-office M, W, F) and you must be available to be on-call on a defined and agreed schedule regularly.
The role will involve:
- Proactively detecting, analysing, and responding to cyber security incidents impacting our clients’ infrastructure and networks.
- Collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders to develop and implement effective remediation and response plans to mitigate security threats.
- Conducting regular threat hunting activities and staying abreast of emerging security trends and technologies to enhance our security measures.
- Maintaining and monitoring all security systems, ensuring their efficiency and effectiveness in safeguarding against potential breaches.
- Coaching and mentoring internal employees and external clients through knowledge sharing, skills development initiatives and upskilling on security best practices.
- Producing regular reports on security incidents, vulnerabilities, and remediation efforts to keep stakeholders informed and ensure compliance with internal policies and industry standards.
To grab this role – you will:
- Have a minimum of 4+ years relevant experience as a Security Analyst or similar role (i.e. security related role)
- Have extensive experience with security platforms (i.e. SIEM, SOAR, EDR, vulnerability management, cloud and on premise environments, Linux and Microsoft operating systems including CLI, Microsoft 365 Defender solutions, forensics tools, scripting languages and backups).
- Have knowledge of security concepts across infrastructure, networking, development, firewalls, proxies, operating system command-line tools, system/server diagnostic tools, security policies, systems administration concepts and measures, and system performance and availability.
- Be able to be on-call on a defined and agreed schedule on a regular basis.
